This white paper explores the impact of the new x64-based versions of Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 in an HP SBC environment. Most notably, a 64-bit architecture removes kernel virtual address space limitations that limit the number of users supported in a 32-bit architecture: a 32-bit Windows system is effectively limited to 300 users; on a 64-bit Windows system, the theoretical limit is much higher. - Scalability and performance of HP ProLiant servers on 64-bit Microsoft Windows Server 2003 in an HP SBC environment - White Paper - 4AA0-9203ENW.pdf
